Another enticing aspect of this media giant is its successful film entertainment studio, which provides 75% of all operating profit, as well as a steady stream of cash flow for the televized side of the firm. The hits produced in the film studio are usually fed to the Fox broadcast networks, or Netflix Inc. (NFLX) and Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN),via licensing and distribution agreements. This dual system of content creation and channel ownership is a highly sustainable business model which should help the company overcome any bumps in the road over the next 20 years. Furthermore, Fox channelshigh viewer rating is a very attractive feature for producers and writers looking to sell their ideas, which will ensure the firm's quality video content creation in the future.

Netflix provides entertainment through its video streaming subscription service. The company continue to add programming that consumers across the nation enjoy. The stock has moved swiftly up and down and seems ready to head towards previous all-time high prices. Over the last four quarters, earnings have been mixed while revenue figures have been on the rise which has really impressed investors in the company. Relative to its peers and sector, Netflix has been a year-to-date performance leader. Look for Netflix to continue to OUTPERFORM.

When Carl Icahn put together a nearly 10% stake in digital video veteran Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX  ) last year, the company cooked up a "poison pill" provision. Designed to make hostile takeovers crazy expensive, the plan would have caused massive dilution of Netflix shares if Icahn's holdings crossed the 10% threshold.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Grace L. Williams]

Competitive threats from Under Armour (UA), Nike (NKE), and other niche athletic apparel brands could result in further share loss for LULU as we believe rightsizing the assortment mix of fashion and basics are six to nine months away. Moreover, we believe there is risk that H2/14 comp expectations could reset lower as we believe the pace of change has been slow to yield consistent improvements.

Athletic apparel makerUnder Armour (NYSE: UA  ) reported first-quarter earnings thatfell 50% year over yearbut handily beat the Capital IQ consensus estimatesby $0.03 per share. Revenues surged 22% year over year, coming in well ahead of estimates.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Shares of Under Armour (UA) have surged to an all-time high after releasing earnings today. Were they really that good? (If that question sounds familiar, it should.)

Citigroup’s Kate McShane and Corinna Van der Ghinst think they were:

Under Armour reported Q2 EPS of $0.08, beating our $0.06 estimate and consensus of $0.07 on significantly stronger top-line growth & better gross margins. Revenues increased +34.1% y/y, ahead of our +25% est, the street +26%, and guidance of slightly above +22%. The impressive top-line growth was driven by apparel up +35.4% (from category expansion in women, golf, outdoor, etc.), footwear +34% (on new running launches), & accessories +17.5%. Gross margins expanded +90bps y/y to 49.2% (vs. guidance of flat & our +10bps est.) on better product margins & mix shift…

Mgmt raised FY14 guidance for the 3rd time this year, with revenues now expected to increase +28-29% (up from +24-25% previously) and operating income up +29-30% (vs. +25-26% prior), well above long-term targets of +22-23% annual growth in revs & op income. Mgmt noted increased confidence for the balance of the year based on stronger execution & visibility in 1H, with new team sponsorships, ongoing int growth (Brazil sales launched in Q2), Under Armour first women brand holiday in Q3, & growth in the digital fitness platform.

Shares of Under Armour have gained 15% to $69.64 at 11:47 a.m., and I’m guessing its big beat has something to do with the gains in other athletic-apparel companies like Nike (NKE) and Lululemon (LULU) today as well. Shares of Nike have risen 1.6% to $78.61, while Lululemon is up 3.8% at $38.97.

Fair Value: In calculating fair value, I consider the NPV MMA Differential Fair Value along with these four calculations of fair value, see page 2 of the linked PDF for a detailed description:

    1. Avg. High Yield Price
    2. 20-Year DCF Price
    3. Avg. P/E Price
    4. Graham Number

CTBI is trading at a premium to all four valuations above. The stock is trading at a 53.5% premium to its calculated fair value of $29.43. CTBI did not earn any Stars in this section.

Dividend Analytical Data: In this section there are three possible Stars and three key metrics, see page 2 of the linked PDF for a detailed description:

    1. Free Cash Flow Payout
    2. Debt To Total Capital
    3. Key Metrics
    4. Dividend Growth Rate
    5. Years of Div. Growth
    6. Rolling 4-yr Div. > 15%

CTBI earned one Star in this section for 1.) above. A Star was earned since the Free Cash Flow payout ratio was less than 60% and there were no negative Free Cash Flows over the last 10 years. The company has paid a cash dividend to shareholders every year since 1988 and has increased its dividend payments for 33 consecutive years.

Dividend Income vs. MMA: Why would you assume the equity risk and invest in a dividend stock if you could earn a better return in a much less risky money market account (MMA) or Treasury bond? This section compares the earning ability of this stock with a high yield MMA. Two items are considered in this section, see page 2 of the linked PDF for a detailed description:

    1. NPV MMA Diff.
    2. Years to > MMA

The negative NPV MMA Diff. means that on a NPV basis the dividend earnings from an investment in CTBI would be less than a similar amount invested in MMA earning a 20-year average rate of 3.41%. If CTBI grows its dividend at 1.5% per year, it will never equal a MMA yielding an estimated 20-year average rate of 3.41%.

Memberships and Peers: CTBI is, a member of the Broad Dividend Achieve

Sirona has developed a comprehensive range of imaging systems for two dimensional (2D) or three dimensional (3D), panoramic and intra-oral applications. It is hard to find a good play in the Zacks Industry of mining non-ferrous metals, as the industry currently has a rank of 247 out of 261. In fact, in our five mining industries, there are only two No. 1-Ranked stocks: Brigus Gold (BRD) and Impala (IMPUY.PK). Both of these are in struggling industries, but they have proven to be best-in-class thanks to improving earnings estimates. Plus, both have seen their ranks surge from holds (or worse) up to strong buy territory, suggesting either of these names might be better picks than the struggling SCCO at this time.

    The greening of corporate America
Google may be a corporate leader in renewable energy investment, but it's far from the only company priming itself for a carbon neutral, off-grid future. Here are renewable energy highlights from four of the country's biggest companies.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE: BUD  ) may give us the King of Beers, but it is also making a run at being the King of Green. The company's New York facilities, including its massive Baldwinsville brewery, receive 40% of their power from hydro sources, while a single 340-foot wind turbine provides up to 20% of the electricity for the Fairfield, Cali. brewery. Not to be outdone, the Houston brewery acquires 60% of its power from landfill gas. Why stop there? Anheuser maintains that anaerobic digesters provide 9% of the fuel needs of its 10 U.S. breweries by consuming wastewater alone. The Maiden, California data center from Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) produces enough electricity to power 17,600 American homes and represents the largest non-utility power generation site in the country. A 100-acre solar array will be complemented by an additional 20 MW solar farm being constructed with SunPower. Its corporate offices in Austin and Sacramento are fully supported by green energy, while the company utilizes renewable sources for 75% of its total energy needs. Verizon (NYSE: VZ  ) wants to cut its carbon intensity in half by 2020. How do you do that? The telecom giant just made a $100 million investment to convert 19 of its domestic sites to solar and fuel cell technology that will produce 90 million kWh annually. Bloom Energy, a growing favorite among corporate America, will supply enough solid oxide fuel cells to generate 16 million kWh of electricity, while ClearEdge Power will supply 400 fuel cells of its own. The balance will come from solar panels provided under a multi-year agreement with SunPower. Walmart (NYSE: WMT  ) generates enough gre
