Beginning next spring the German maker that's now part of the Volkswagen Group will begin selling the Macan compact SUV starting at $50,895 including shipping for the 340-horsepower S, and $73,295 for the 400-horsepower Turbo.
Porsche plans to build 50,000 a year at a new plant in Leipzig, Germany. North America is to get one-third of those. Europe and Asia split the rest, 50/50.
Once Macan's up and running, it should combine with the larger Cayenne to make roughly 60% of Porsche's U.S. sales SUVs.
Porsche brushes off any suggestion that such a shift could water-down its purist credentials.
"People said that about the Cayenne (SUV), but what you see happening is that the guy who has a 911 (sports car) also has a Cayenne" instead of the Mercedes-Benz or other high-dollar SUV he's been using as a family car or winter vehicle, says spokesman Nick Twork.
Top 10 Shipping Companies To Watch For 2015: Rubicon Minerals Corp(RBY)
Rubicon Minerals Corporation, a mineral exploration company, engages in the acquisition, exploration, and development of mineral properties in Canada and the United States. It primarily explores for gold and base metal deposits. The company?s key asset is the Phoenix Gold Project located in the Red Lake gold camp, in the Province of Ontario. As of March 31, 2010, it controlled approximately 65,000 acres of prime exploration ground in the prolific Red Lake gold district of Ontario, Canada, as well as approximately 380,000 acres surrounding the Pogo Mine in Alaska and approximately 225,000 acres in northeast Nevada. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
Advisors' Opinion:- [By Sean Williams]
Another reason this fund looks attractive (at least to me) is that Rubicon Minerals (NYSEMKT: RBY ) is one of its largest holdings at 6.02% of its assets as of May 10, 2013. Rubicon is in the late stages of the development process for the F2 Gold System, which has yielded drilling assessments as high as 767 grams/ton. F2 appears to be just as bountiful in gold well below the surface as it is near the surface, which could mean a very long and profitable mine life for Rubicon.
Top 10 Shipping Companies To Watch For 2015: Canadian Utilities Ltd (CDUAF)
Canadian Utilities Limited is a holding company. The Company is engaged in Utilities (pipelines, natural gas and electricity transmission and distribution), Energy (power generation, natural gas gathering, processing, storage and liquids extraction), and Technologies (business systems solutions). The Company operates in threes segments: TCO Electric, ATCO Gas and ATCO Pipelines. ATCO Electric is engaged in the regulated business of transmitting and distributing electricity to 245 communities as well as rural areas in east-central and northern Alberta. ATCO Gas is engaged in the business of distributing natural gas throughout Alberta and in the Lloydminster area of Saskatchewan. ATCO Pipelines is a regulated business engaged in the transmission of natural gas in Alberta. ATCO Pipelines receives natural gas on its pipeline system at various gas processing plants and transports it to end users within the province or other pipeline systems for export out of the province. Advisors' Opinion:- [By John Heinzl]
Contrast that with a company such as Canadian Utilities (CDUAF), whose eight price targets range from $40 to $42. (The stock closed Friday at $38.08 [Canadian]). Such tight clustering of targets indicates that analysts have a high degree of conviction about the company's future earnings, which isn't surprising for a utility that throws off predictable cash flows.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Jonas Elmerraji]
Despite the broad market's bullish bias right now, not every name looks equally strong. URS (URS) makes a good case in point. While the $4 billion engineering stock has fared well year-to-date, it's starting to look "toppy" from here.
The double top pattern is a price setup that's formed by two swing highs that peak at the same level. Those two tops happened in early September and then again in the middle of this month. A move through $52 is the signal that it's time to be a seller in URS. While this stock still has a little while to go before it goes into bear mode, I'd be paying close attention to that $52 support line if I were a shareholder in this name.
The inverse head and shoulders pattern is a reversal pattern that indicates exhaustion among sellers. It's formed by two swing lows that bottom out around the same level (the shoulders), separated by a deeper low (the head). The buy signal comes on a move through the neckline, which is right at $950. The fact that NVR's neckline level comes right at a big round number price is significant; it means that if shares can catch a bid above $950, more investor eyes are going to be fixated on a move through that level.
Here again, momentum adds some confidence to this trade. RSI has been in an uptrend since the pattern started forming in shares, and it's held that uptrend on the pullbacks. Since momentum is a leading indicator of price, there's clearly an upside bias in this stock right now.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By John Maxfield]
While it's not obvious from the chart, you can separate these institutions into three different buckets. The first bucket concerns the most widely discussed too-big-to-fail banks: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo. Then comes the unofficial too-big-to-fail lenders (those with assets in excess of $50 billion and thus subject to the Federal Reserve's more stringent stress test process). This group contains U.S. Bank (NYSE: USB ) , PNC Financial (NYSE: PNC ) , and BB&T Bank (NYSE: BBT ) , among others. And the final group encompasses lesser-known banks like First Niagara Financial (NASDAQ: FNFG ) and People's United Financial (NASDAQ: PBCT ) with between $20 billion and $50 billion in assets.

Kahn Brothers reduced its stake in companies such as First Niagara Financial Group (NASDAQ: FNFG ) and Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY ) . First Niagara Financial Group, yielding 2.9%, is trading near a 52-week high. It has more than tripled its asset base since the financial crisis, though it hiked its share count to do so, which dilutes share value. Meanwhile, the company has been managing its credit risk well, and should benefit from rising interest rates. It's poised for a solid turnaround, and with a recent P/E ratio of 15.5 and a forward P/E of 13, is worth a look.

First Niagara Financial (NASDAQ: FNFG ) will return money to two separate classes of its stockholders. The company has declared quarterly dividends for its common shares and its class B preferreds, both of which will be paid on May 15 to shareholders of record as of May 3.
Top 10 Shipping Companies To Watch For 2015: Amarin Corporation PLC(AMRN)
Amarin Corporation Plc, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, focuses on developing treatments for cardiovascular diseases. Its lead product candidate includes AMR101, a prescription grade omega-3 fatty acid, which is in second Phase III clinical trial for the treatment of high triglyceride levels in statin-treated patients who have mixed dyslipidemia. The company, formerly known as Ethical Holdings plc, was founded in 1989 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.
Advisors' Opinion:- [By Brian Orelli]
We've been speculating for almost a year that Amarin (NASDAQ: AMRN ) would be purchased by AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN ) . The large pharma sells cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor, which would be a perfect fit with Amarin's lipid-lowering fish oil Vascepa.
- [By Brian Orelli]
Amarin (NASDAQ: AMRN ) , for example, nearly doubled after announcing data for a phase 3 trial testing its lipid-lowering drug, Vascepa. While investors expected the drug to lower triglyceride levels, they got a nice surprise when the drug also lowered bad LDL cholesterol, especially since its direct competitor, GlaxoSmithKline's (NYSE: GSK ) Lovaza, increases bad cholesterol.
- [By Roberto Pedone]
Amarin (AMRN) is a biopharmaceutical company that commercializes and develops therapeutics to improve cardiovascular health. This stock closed up 6% to $5.62 in Tuesday's trading session.
Tuesday's Range: $5.39-$5.70
52-Week Range: $5.12-$14.97
Tuesday's Volume: 9.30 million
Three-Month Average Volume: 3.74 millionShares of AMRN ripped higher on Tuesday after H.C. Wainwright upgraded the stock.
From a technical perspective, AMRN gapped up sharply here and broke out above some near-term overhead resistance at $5.59 with monster upside volume. This stock has been downtrending badly for the last six months, with shares dropping from over $8 to its recent low of $5.12. During that move, shares of AMRN have been consistently making lower highs and lower lows, which is bearish technical price action. That said, shares of AMRN have now started to rebound off that $5.12 low and are quickly moving within range of triggering a major breakout trade. That trade will hit if AMRN manages to take out some near-term overhead resistance levels at $5.74 to its 50-day at $5.88 and then once it takes out more resistance at $6.20 with high volume.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in AMRN as long as it's trending above some key near-term support levels at $5.13 to $5.12, and then once it sustains a move or close above those breakout levels with volume that hits near or above 3.74 million shares. If that breakout hits soon, then AMRN will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $7.17 to $7.30. Any high-volume move above those levels will then put $8 to $8.50 within range for shares of AMRN.
- [By Selena Maranjian]
Finally, Passport Capital's biggest closed stock positions included HollyFrontierand eBay. Other closed positions of interest include Amarin (NASDAQ: AMRN ) and Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD ) . Amarin stock has fallen roughly in half over the past year. The company is a late-stage cardiovascular-focused biotech enterprise, with a promising (and FDA-approved) drug to lower triglycerides, fish-oil-based Vascepa. It needs a big partner for Vascepa, though, and one likely suitor recently bought a competitor instead. Meanwhile, the FDA has scheduled an October meeting about the drug, for which Amarin is seeking expanded approval.

Then there is that lucky or unlucky outcome of price hikes. The public will pay more for stamps, making you and me the losers in this. The question to ask is whether or not Stamps.com Inc. (NASDAQ: STMP) just get a built-in revenue booster per customer on a static basis?

Combining Perion's and Conduit's number allows us to compare a "new Perion" to its peer group: AVG, IACI, AOL (AOL), and Blucora (BCOR). The numbers are nothing short of incredible demonstrating how grossly the new company is underpriced.

Sea change
As with many industries, tax prep is witnessing a period of technological disruption in the form of Web-based software. Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU ) is the leader in the space with its Turbo Tax product. Lesser-known Blucora (NASDAQ: BCOR ) has its hand in the game as well with TaxACT. The latter is a small but healthy business. TaxACT maintains strong margins and grows at roughly 8% to 10% annually. Currently, the company maintains around 12% of online tax-prep market share. - [By Evan Niu, CFA]
What: Shares of Blucora (NASDAQ: BCOR ) have popped by as much as 24% today after the company announced first-quarter results.
So what: Revenue in the first quarter totaled $165.3 million, which translated into non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.95. Investors would have been happy with just $158.8 million in sales, and Blucora's bottom-line result decimated the consensus estimate of just $0.50 per share in profit. CEO Bill Ruckelshaus said both the company's online search and tax preparation segments are off to a strong start for 2013.
